Unknown resolve error with System.Data

I have this problem. If I try to use "System.Data" and/or "System.Data.SqlClient", it gets red and the tooltip says "Unknown resolve error". I've copied the System.Data.dll from Unity/Mono and pasted it in my project's assets folder. I've found little to no information about this error in such context. Thanks for help.
